Sound design, without dialogue or text in films, becomes more popular in recent years. Within this dissertation, sound design is considered at the pre-production as an equal part with image. There are mainly two reasons. Firstly, sound, in the film’s world, can influence and transform audiences’ perception of image or motion. Secondly, sound, is not only used to illustrate the meaning of the image, but also has its musical potential. Sounds can be a poem in the film's world. This dissertation aims to illustrate and demonstrate the musical potential of sounds when they are corresponded to the visual movement in the image.
