QuickDoc - A website and smartphone application that provides quick healthcare services to anyone in Ireland at anytime, anywhere.


The project "QuickDoc - Instant Care, Anytime, Anywhere" aims to address Ireland's healthcare accessibility difficulties, namely in terms of prompt medical care and resource allocation. QuickDoc is a digital healthcare platform that aims to simplify medical services for both patients and healthcare practitioners. The project entails the creation of a mobile application and website that use interaction design and technology to improve patient access to treatment, with a special emphasis on reducing wait times, offering efficient consultations, and enhancing overall healthcare delivery. Telehealth consultations are a key element of QuickDoc, allowing patients to book video or chat consultations with doctors from various specialties across Ireland. In addition, the platform includes health literacy modules that teach users how to manage chronic diseases and improve their self-care. The software also includes scheduling tools, real-time updates, health tracking, and remote consultations, which are critical for lowering wait times and giving prompt care to people in need.

QuickDoc grew from concept sketches and prototypes to a fully usable digital solution over multiple design iterations. User feedback was critical in improving the app's usability and ensuring that it catered to a diverse audience, including both local and international patients. Notably, the platform includes a patient check-in system for hospitals and GP clinics, which streamlines the complete patient experience from consultation booking to emergency services and document management. In essence, QuickDoc blends cutting-edge telemedicine technologies with user-centered design to offer a more accessible and responsive healthcare delivery system. QuickDoc addresses inefficiencies in the Irish healthcare sector, such as long wait times, GP shortages, and low health literacy, by providing a viable digital solution to bridge the gap between patients and medical professionals, improving both care outcomes and overall patient satisfaction.
